Johnny (Tootie) Michael Payne
Born: 24 April 1964 Duncan, Oklahoma. USA
Died: 09 Sept 2007 Lawton, Oklahoma. USA
When I am gone, release me; let me go
I have so many things to see and do.
You must not tie yourself to me with tears
Be happy that we had so many years
I gave you love, you can only guess
how much you gave me in happiness.
I thank you for the love each have shown
but now it is time I travelled alone.
So grieve awhile for me if grieve you must,
then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It is only for a while that we must part
so bless those memories within your heart.
I will not be far away, for life goes on.
So if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you cannot see or touch me, I will be near
And if you listen with your heart, you will hear.
All of my love around you, soft and clear.
Then when you must come this way alone,
I will greet you with a smile and a welcome home.

My cousin, Johnny Payne
was a Husband, Father, and a Firefighter.
He was always a character and so much fun to be around.
I love you tootie and wish I had more time with you..
and until the time when I see you again...
I'll carry you in my heart.

Firefighter's Prayer
When I am called to duty, God,
whenever flames may rage,
give me strength to save some life,
whatever be its age.
Help me embrace a little child before its too late,
or save an older person from the horror of that fate.
Enable me to be alert and hear the weakest shout,
and quickly and efficiently to put the fire out.
I want to fill my calling, and to give the best in me,
to guard my every neighbor and protect his property.
And if according, to my fate, I am to lose my life,
please bless with your protecting hand
my family, friends and wife.
Amen.

My Cousin Johnny was a firefighter for 20 years..
He had retired and passed from a long illness..
I will always miss him.
Love, Lisa
