Heavenly Father hear my prayer,
Guide our Father with tender care,
Dear shepherd don't leave him alone,
Love him in heaven, as we do at home.

John Adams loved nature, and worked as a gardener all his life. He liked nothing more than preparing the ground and watching plants grow tall and strong from the smallest of seeds. He loved watching his children grow too, and took pleasure in them both as children and as adults, and grandchildren too.
Never dogmatic, but always there when needed, he will be sorely loved by all of us who knew him and loved him.

His premature death in an accident, and that of our Mum, Mary Adams,
is a tragedy that we will find it hard to overcome,
but we are fortified that they are inseparably together.

They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning,
We shall remember them.
