Elsie was an active member of Atherton Salvation Army all her life, faithfully walking to the Corps in all weathers.
She had a hard life, working long hours in one of the towns cotton mills as well as bringing up her son, George Rowland Craske, and her granddaughter, Linda.
Well known in the area she remained throughout her life, she was always willing to go the extra mile to help others.
Gentle Jesus, meek and mild, Look upon a little child;
Pity my simplicity, Suffer me to come to Thee.
Lamb of God, I look to Thee; Thou shalt my Example be;
Thou art gentle, meek, and mild; Thou wast once a little child.
Lord, I would be as Thou art; Give me Thine obedient heart;
